Linux Gaming In 2020 (Should You Switch?) | Zaney Games On Linux
The Linux gaming scene in 2020 is absolutely crazy! With all of the work being done with Proton, Lutris, DXVK, and many more projects the reasons to switch over to Linux for gaming are mounting. I am super excited about the fact that I have been able to play the new Resident Evil 3 game on Linux.
When it comes to Linux gaming you have to keep in mind that not all games will work. The games that are essentially guaranteed to not work on Linux are those with anti-cheat. However, what a lot of people don't know is that there are some great free and open source multiplayer alternatives to the likes of Call of Duty. So to answer the question, should you switch to Linux for gaming in 2020? In my opinion, yes! This year is practically the best time ever to get into Linux gaming! With plenty of new games dropping and more people ever committed to projects like Proton. Your gaming journey on Linux is just now beginning!
