I finished Outer Wilds in June 2021, and was thrilled to have Echoes of the Eye, the DLC, on the horizon. When scary season rolled around in October, I knew that a first unspoiled playthrough of Echoes of the Eye would be perfect! Little did I know this expansion would have an even more profoundly emotional impact on me, and leave me a shell of a human by the end.
Enjoy my very first ever, INCREDIBLY special experience of Echoes of the Eye, complete with the usual extremely unconventional puzzle solving from my base game playthrough of Outer Wilds, lots of scares, and lots of crying ::)
There's a good chunk of messing around for the first hour or so while I get to grips with the controls again and work out where to go, so skip ahead to the actual meat of the DLC at 01:11:59 if you like!
As with the base game of Outer Wilds, the feeling of discovery in a first playthrough of Echoes of the Eye is something you can never get back or experience again, but hopefully watching my playthrough will come close to that for fans of the game and people who have never experienced it before will enjoy it just as much as they would playing it themselves.
