Fisher-Price Firehouse Rescue Complete Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A beginning to end playthrough of Gametek's 1990 NES game, Fisher Price Firehouse Rescue, from http://www.nintendocomplete.com/
This is an utter abomination. It offers no educational value (unless you really want to stretch by saying that figuring out and then memorizing mazes somehow constructively promotes critical thinking skills), it's repetitive and dull, and the graphics... well, calling them functional is about the best praise I can manage. I mean, seriously, Fisher Price people hardly are chock full of minute details. The regular people look like what you'd expect them to, but why does the fireman look like a partially melted burn victim? Doesn't inspire much confidence, that.
Furthermore, why are none of the houses on fire that these people so desperately need saved from? Why can't they just go downstairs and leave through their front doors? Also, since the fireman's "rescue" is done from outside, why do the Level 4 mazes require a key to access the house? I was looking for something completely different than I'd normally play in doing this. I somewhat regret that decision now.
This is pretty hilariously terrible, and might be worth a smile for about two seconds, but if you are a parent trying to give their child something old-school that they can get into, don't be surprised if they throw this at you once they try it. Just a heads up.
