Fist of Physics: VR physics based giant robot fighting game with destructible environments
Gameplay from Fist of Physics, a VR melee brawl game for HTC Vive where you duel with giant robot enemies.
Fist of Physics is a $9.99 virtual reality game that supports the HTC Vive VR HMD and uses the HTC Vive motion controllers. With phyics-based combat, you can push around your enemies, punch them, slam them, throw them, block their attacks, and more using the motion controls. You can also pick up objects in the environment like cars and benches and throw them or smash the enemy robot with them. The enemy robot uses simulated muscles and tries to move with pure physics so every punch or push can send it stumbling around.
This game is similar in a lot of ways to other VR melee physics-based games like Gorn and Drunkn Bar Fight. The difference is those games have you fighting multiple enemies and you can knock the enemies around pretty easily. The physics of the robots in Fist of Physics make it harder to knock them ridiculous distances but you can still create some crazy reactions with the VR physics based combat just like Gorn and Drunkn Bar Fight and other HTC Vive VR melee punching physics games.
Official game description of Fist of Physics on Steam:
"Punch a robot in the face! It’s 2037. Robots are running wild in San Francisco, and you need to stop them. Fight through multiple rounds against different opponents to save the city. Fist of Physics uses Midas’ cutting edge VR physics engine to let players literally reach out and touch their opponent. No cheesy canned hit reactions and physically inaccurate responses that break immersion; every response and movement looks real and believable.
Choosing from a variety of weapons, the player can use their own body with the Vive controllers to engage in brutal combat. Each opponent has a unique set of moves for the players to learn to anticipate and counter. A variety of weapons enable the player to adapt their combat style to each opponent."
