Fist of the Dark Souls 3 Raoh Gaiden: Raoh vs Yhorm the Giant
0Raoh's next destination after dispatching the foul Aldrich would be the Profaned Capital. Once a city filled with riches, it has since become a breeding ground for all manner of putrid monstrosities. At the end of the city, the one known as Yhorm the Giant waited. This former hero now wasted his days in solitude, refusing to return to his proper throne.
As Raoh approached the throne room where the giant resided, a strange man clad in onion-shaped armor strode up beside the warrior, sword and shield in hand. Raoh recognized this peculiar individual, Seigward of Catarina, as the man he had helped escape from his prison cell earlier in his journey. Apparently Seigward had made a promise to Yhorm, and was intent on carrying it out.
And thus, the battle ensued.

I was legitimately surprised Seigward survived this fight, since last time I did this on a different build he got destroyed almost immediately.
Anyway, Yhorm is an intimidating figure, with an interesting gimmick. However, said gimmick also turns the fight itself into a cakewalk. Unfortunately, using the Storm Ruler is also the only real way to complete the fight, unless spending thirty minutes wittling away at his massive health bar sounds like an interesting venture to you.
For this reason, the fight itself ranks pretty low as an actual combative encounter. If you did the questline to get Seigward here, though, it becomes intriguing from a story perspective, as Seigward returns to the city to fulfill his end of a deal, which is the destruction of Yhorm, who no longer is able to tell friend from foe. in this respect, at least, the fight succeeds in its goal.
