This game is an absolute masterpiece. From the puzzles to the level layout, it's enjoyable to the very last second. The ending will have you in tears, with its soundtrack only adding to the experience. The soundtrack is easily the best part, it fits very well into the levels as you walk through em, and also very relaxing in contrast to the dread you may feel as you delve deeper and deeper into the dream. Phenomenal game, cannot recommend enough 12/10
Exceptional game. Purchased it awhile ago and just didn't think about it. I should have played it right away. There are some great things in the game and I enjoyed the ending the most. Only issue I have which is a known issue is that even though it recognizes a gamepad it will not actually play with a gamepad. I tried 3 different controllers all showing the same issue. Went through the steam settings and tried everything in the book. The only scary thing is if this is Steam Deck then why cant they fix the basic gamepad issue? It states it is "full controller support" which is not true in many peoples cases. Playing it via K/M isn't bad but sometimes it is just nice to sit back with a controller.
I really liked this. I loved the voice acting and the sound design/soundtrack; they were very smooth and contributed to a slick, polished feel throughout even as things got trippy. The narrative could have come off cheesy or pretentious, but I thought it was executed very well (the voice acting deserves lots of credit here!) and came through in a manner I actually found sort of touching.
I felt the puzzles were just hard enough, with a fairly smooth progression of how mechanics were added. There were some moments of confusion where I didn't feel like the next step made sense even after I figured out what to do, but it's hard to write that as a substantial criticism when the game is so weird.
Pretty great! The non-euclidean trickery feels seemless, the narration and mood are engaging, and the ending is satisfying. The puzzles are a little too simple at times, but the experience is still great in general.
There are a few technical issues, though. For example, I was randomly launched into the air a few times while resizing objects, and the v-sync option introduces so much lag that it's almost unplayable with the option enabled, so you'll have to deal with screen tearing if you don't have a variable refresh rate monitor.
