本已結束營業的「費斯熊弗雷迪的披薩餐廳」（Freddy Fazbear's Pizza），經過大規模裝修翻新後，盛大地重新開張。全新人偶相繼登場，裝備了最新的臉容辨認科技，以及本土罪犯資料庫。同一時間，被棄置在某房間內的舊人偶，和性質不明的傀儡形怪物，亦正在蠢蠢欲動……玩家將會扮演一名暑假到餐廳打工的新任夜間警衞，得知人偶於入夜時會在店內自動遊蕩，並作出對真實人類不利的舉動。玩家必須在工作期間一直留在警衞室，防止人偶入侵，以免自己被發現並「視為」錯誤擺放的機械骨架，繼而被帶去強制穿上金屬裝束，最終慘烈死亡。


Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the old and aging animatronics are joined by a new cast of characters. As the new security guard working nights, your job is to monitor cameras and make sure nothing goes wrong after-hours. The previous guard has complained about the characters trying to get into the office (he has since been moved to day-shift). So to make your job easier, you've been provided with your very own empty Freddy Fazbear head, which should fool the animatronic characters into leaving you alone if they should accidentally enter your office.
