How to fix Dune: Spice Wars black screen problem
Step 1) Install Microsoft Visual C++ files https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
Step 2) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program or Windows Security
Step 3) Launch the game as an administrator
Step 4) Restart Steam and update the game
Step 5) Launch with OpenGL if you launched with Direct X and vice-versa
Step 6) Go into the Dune local files
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Dune Spice War – The Skywalker Saga\
-Open "options.ini"
-Set "IntroVideo" to false
-Save and try to launch the game again
Step 7) Delete the save game folder- please note you will lose all the game progress
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Dune Spice War – The Skywalker Saga\
Step 8) Do a clean installation of graphics driver
Step 9) Verify the game files
