Fix HRESULT 0xc8000222 Error .NET Framework 4.0 While Problem Installation
Resolution
Connect to the server via RDP.
Open cmd.exe and stop Windows update service with command:
Command: net stop WuAuServ
Repeat the operation until it will be reported that the service is successfully stopped.
Go to Windows folder, change permissions and rename the folder(run one by one):
Command: cd %windir%
icacls "SoftwareDistribution" /grant Everyone:F
move SoftwareDistribution to SDold
Activate Windows update with command from cmd.exe:
Command: net start WuAuServ
Try to install .NET Framework again
If the issue persists, reboot the server and try again. Contact Microsoft if required.
