When we connect Sony VAIO laptop to TV through HDMI cable, many times we don't get sound output. Here's a simple solution to fix that sound problem with VAIO laptop connected through HDMI. Just select Intel Display Device as your default device in Sound Setting under Hardware and Sound in Control Panel.

You can after directly connect an aux cable or speaker output to your TV. This method will send audio from your laptop to your TV through HDMI.
