In this video, Mahalo expert Sean Hewitt explains how you can run an advanced diagnosis of your PC by using FutureMark.com.
How to Run an Advanced Diagnosis
---------------------------------------------------------------------
An advanced diagnosis ventures even deeper into your computer's hardware. It is geared more for a "power user," someone who works with a gaming machine, a rendering machine or something of the nature.
If you've performed a basic diagnosis of your system using the Windows Experience Index and you still need more information, you can perform an advanced diagnosis by navigating to FutureMark.com in your internet browser.
Click on Benchmarks in the top bar of the web page. You're given a choice to receive diagnostic information through either 3DMark or PCMark. 3DMark is geared more toward gaming while PCMark is more of a PC system benchmark.
The results you see from 3DMark give you quite a bit of information. First, you receive a score after the benchmark is complete. You can rate this score against other systems that have similar hardware.
You're then told what kind of processor you have, how many processors there are in your computer, information about your video card, information about every RAM chip you have installed, including the speed at which they are running, as well as scoring breakdown for each test that was run by FutureMark.com.
The site also suggest Tips for improving your score, which you can click on. In the video, tips include updating the video driver and upgrading the computer's video card.
