Fixing broken units & Bringing new balance into Tempest Rising RTS #tempestrising #rts #gameplay
120I haven’t mentioned Tempest Rising in my RTS news videos lately and that is because I published so many dedicated videos about its gameplay and mechanics which you can find on my playlist. But after launch, which was one of the top 12 Steam releases that month, players made lists of features that were obviously missing from the initial release and some of these are quite important.

Developers have acknowledged the necessity of these features and publicly stated they are working on them in the latest patch notes announcement. Meaning 2v2 ranked matches, queue with friends, custom options for maximum population, spectator mode, more maps and lobby chat will be part of the next major update. As for the multiplayer balancing patch a number of bugged or clearly overpowered weapon systems on units where fixed, like the Dynasty’s flame units or GDFs Sentinel’s marking rounds.

Underperforming units gained slight buffs in weapon attack speed or health, while those which saw very little use were given several buffs like the Tempest Sphere or the Voltaic tank for example. GDF’s unique intel resources mechanic was also tweaked to allow it to field more powerful units more regularly. I personally love and enjoy this game’s multiplayer so much I have yet to finish its single player campaigns.
