Fixing Gottlieb's Amazing Base Runner Trick On A 1971 Home Run Pinball Machine - Without Schematics?
In the early 70's a genius designer at Gottlieb named Ed Krynski invented this little bit of work in the baseball themed pinball machines that kept track of a base running gimmick in the games. Essentially the game could tell what base your runner was on, and how many of them made it to home, and accurately added everything up whether you hit a double, triple, single, or home run.
This is not as easy as it sounds, because he did it all with switches, coils, and motors.
