Easy to disassemble, boardview and schematic available, plenty of spare parts, very simple layout, forgiving electronics and best of all, CHEAP.
In this video we have an 1.8GHz 8GB Macbook Air with an 820-00165 board presenting with no power on, no boot, no charge. On testing we are only seeing ~30mA. On initial visual inspection there really doesn't appear to be anything that truly stands out.
