Part 2, explaining the thought process behind tackling a "crowded" section of my Bowser remix that was tricky to mix.

Download link for this song, as well as the FL project file, is under "Round 3".

I'll try to increase the volume on my mic next time. These "mixing process" tutorials are a little less focused, and as a result, a little more lengthy, but hopefully they're a good insight into my process.

Note: When I said "this is about the limit of sounds that I can pack in at a single time", what I meant is that adding more sounds would make things too "crowded", thus making it hard for each instrument to come through clearly. Especially since we already have 3 different treble instruments that we're trying to work out.
Now, it isn't actually true that every single sound has to come through clearly. But each sound should have a purpose. The gated pads, for example. They do -not- need to come through clearly, because their purpose is more to fill out sound (in the chorus, at least) than to be a central focus. And the sub-bass here isn't something that you're actually going to "pay attention" to. But they're still good components of the mix here. I'll talk more about this next time as it relates to "fullness" and why you need that pad there even though it should never steal "attention".
