The Flash: Vertical Velocity (formerly V2: Vertical Velocity) is an Intamin Inverted Impulse roller coaster located at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. This LIM launched steel coaster features a height of 150 feet, a top speed of 65 mph, 1 inversion and a total track length of 630 feet. When it originally opened in 2001 as V2: Vertical Velocity, the ride featured two 186 foot tall vertical spikes; at the start of the 2002 season, V2 closed for renovations in order to meet the city ordinance limit of 150 feet. The forward tower was replaced with a 45° incline (including an in-line twist), and the rear tower was shortened to 150 feet. Enjoy!
