Flashback is a so-called "cinematic platformer", which involves rotoscoping and realistic character animation. It followed the similar Prince of Persia, but had a sci-fi setting, which always draws my attention. The plot is pretty crappy, but it's a very well crafted game. The difficulty curve is good, and gets pretty challenging for me about halfway through.
It was a very popular game and most people who played games at the time probably heard of it if not played it. It was released for many systems after the initial Amiga version.
After a while, I start to detect a subtle unintentional subtext to the story in this game. Can Conrad really trust any of his memories in a world where technology can manipulate your mind?
