Flashback Sega Xtreme 29th Saturn Homebrew Competition (2024)
Flashback port for the Sega Saturn. VBT's first entry to the Sega Xtreme 29th Saturn Homebrew Competition
Running on real Hardware. The Game is burned to a blank disc and running on my 60Hz modded PAL Saturn using a Pseudo Saturn Cart. Output via an RGB Scart cable, line doubled in an OSSC and recorded with a USB Capture device. This is the NTSCU version.
The port runs rather slow on Saturn. The cutscenes also have some distortion. Crashes a fair bit as well. On the emulator, this ran fast. Nevertheless, this is Flashback and it is running on Saturn. It looks great, sound effects are present, and looks like the demo features most of the game. This is one I really want to see taken further. It's beyond doubt that Saturn could manage an excellent port of this classic, and I'm sure this could eventually be it. Thanks to VBT for this one.

(edit: VBT has released an updated version but I am having some technical difficulties burning to disc)
