Hey guys, welcome back! Every now and then I get a comment that asks about games that resemble Blade of Darkness or Dark Souls.
Well, Flintlock is a game that aspires to be in the "Souls-like" games category but, feels like it lacks a few things to be there.
The main changes you would notice from the said games are probably the pacing, the companionship, and the acrobatics.
Fast-paced fights, jumping around in them, together with some platforming are actually a welcomed addition to the genre in my opinion. Having a companion is what you might feel weird about since we are accustomed to being "lone wolves" in these types of games.
Liberating different towns is going the extra mile, and I enjoyed the feeling of making the world a better place. And adding different firearms did remind me of Bloodborne.
The weakest point in my opinion would probably be the story. But hey, when was it ever the strong point in these games?
