First and foremost I would like to thank Charles & Manufacture 43 for providing me with an pre-alpha demo of Pawarumi! I really appreciated it a lot! Thank you for having faith in me!
Developed by Manufacture 43, Pawarumi is a modern vertically scrolling shoot’em up, or
(shmups for short) set in a retro futuristic sci-fi pre-Columbian universe. You’ll take control of the almighty ship Chukaru and its three unique weapons! Shoot wisely to either do double damage, heal yourself or charge your Super Attack! Inspired by the classics of the Dreamcast era, the Manufacture 43 team is making bold choices to modernize the genre and pushing it further while staying true to the legacy of games like Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, DonPachi/DoDonPachi, & Zero Gunner.
If Pawarumi gets fully funded, Manufacture 43 is currently planning for a release in May of 2018 on (PC/Mac/Linux) and are currently doing everything possible to release on console as well.

On Earth, in another universe, the Spanish invasions that decimated the pre-columbian civilizations never happened. Those civilizations then flourished, evolved exponentially and soon conquered the rest of the world with their technological superiority and their divine powers. Las, not unlike in our world, the omnipotent members of the Council that ruled the world became corrupt and the civilization was being drown into decay.
Then came Axo, pilot of Chukaru, chosen by the gods to bring balance but also driven by anger against the Council for leading the world into chaos.
Pawarumi is her story, her legend. Live through her fight and discover the truth behind her actions.

Set in a unique pre-columbian inspired retrofuturistic sci-fi universe and served by 3D graphics that give opportunity for glorious cinematic staging!
Five Unique Levels:
Happening in different parts of the world and inspired by classics from the 1990s and 2000s pop culture, like Indiana Jones, James Bond, Stargate or Star Wars…
Crafted for replayability:
Each level has a particular gameplay twist that will slightly change the way you look at the game. Study every possible options to reach the end of the game your own way!
Trinity Game Mechanic:
Three fused mechanics that enable infinite strategies! (See the kickstarter for more detail)
In Pawarumi, the gameplay loop is centered around the Trinity System, which adds a tactical layer to the overall experience. Each facet of the system is triggered simply by shooting with the appropriate weapon on the right type of enemy.
It's a bit like a super rock-paper-scissors where every combination is beneficial to you.
