I took my kayak down the Chena RIver and enjoyed some of what Fairbanks had to offer. If your interested in doing something similar there are various kayak/canoe rental companies in the area. One of them, Canoe Alaska, will drop you off and pick you up at designated areas, saving you the hassle of having to haul yourself out! I'll leave their website link below.
