The Seed is still unhappy and we’ve been sent to find her, she decides to make life difficult by pulling trees up in Summit.
Seasons After Fall is a 2D platform-puzzler where you play as a spirit-possessed fox who has the ability to change the seasons at will. Using this ability you must solve the mystery of why the four Guardians of the Seasons have fallen into a strange lethargy, and why all the animals have left the forest.
With the help of a mysterious fellow “seed” who’s trapped in an area, at the heart of the forest, known as Sanctuary, you begin your journey to collect the four Shards of the Seasons; mystical powers the Guardians protect that will give you to control the seasons, allowing you to drastically change your environment - Such as freezing water or causing mushrooms to grow, and solve the many puzzles of the forest. You need the four Shards of the Seasons in order to perform the Ritual of Seasons, which will free the mysterious seed from Sanctuary and grant you your wildest dreams!
But all is not as it seems, are the guardians really the enemy or is some much more sinister force at play?
The Guardian of Winter and the Shard of Winter:
The Guardian of Winter rests in an area known as the Ancestors on the other side of the Creek area. The Guardian of Winter is a massive bear, who was once fond of carving totems that are scattered across it’s domain, following the them will lead you to it’s lair. Once you gain the Shard of Winter from the Guardian, you gain the ability to change the season to winter, allowing you to freeze water, including geysers, create giant snow balls with the funnel plant, and explode the strange little sponge bugs when you yip at them, and break through barriers.
The Guardian of Fall and the Shard of Fall:
The Guardian of Fall nests in the area known as the Quaqmire just beyond Puddle. It is a monstrous and terrifying Crane. Once you gain the Shard of Fall from the Guardian you get the ability to cause mushrooms to sprout and grow, and lower the water levels of geysers, many funguses are only active/available when fall is active.
The Guardian of Spring and the Shard of Spring:
The Guardian of Spring is a massive eel who resides in the Cascades, which are just beyond the Pit. With the Shard of Spring you gain control over water, allowing you raise the level of water in an area with the sponge mushroom, as well as the level of a geyser, the funnel plant will shoot a stream of water that will break through weak barriers, and water ground to allow trees to grow.
The Guardian of Summer and the Shard of Summer:
The Guardian of Summer is a giant cicada the sleeps in a massive tree, known as Foliage, atop the mountains called Ranges. With the Shard of Summer you gain the ability to lower water levels using the sponge mushroom, as well as geysers, and cause vines to grow allowing you to bridge gaps
