Floigan Bros. Episode 1 | Dreamcast Exclusive | 4K60 16:9 | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough
Full game longplay of Floigan Bros. Episode 1, a 2001 Dreamcast exclusive action-adventure game, developed by Visual Concepts. Do note, it's an Episode 1, but there weren't any next ones, as Sega shutdown Dreamcast production. Here played on Redream emulator, at 3840x2880 resolution (above 4K), with a widescreen hack enabled (it doesn't work all the time, especially during mini-games). Game runs at an unlocked framerate 30-60 fps, it's pretty variable. Recorded at 4K60 H.265 NVENC codec via OBS.
There is some slowdown (other than the game's framerate), but that's due to video capturing of Redream, which apparently is pretty problematic I've suddenly learned. I kind of will have to record on both Redream and Flycast, and see which one plays better with the specific game.

Nice little platforming/adventure game! First thing that came to my mind was a cartoon, my favourite actually, Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy. :D It's game is definitely similar when it comes to graphical style. As for me, this game is visually stunning, and of course it's enhanced via emulator to above 4K and 16xAF and all that, but it's visual style is just beautiful on the eyes. As for the gameplay and story, it's a very short game, kind of lacking content, it definitely was supposed to be a smaller game in a series of similar sized games, but that never came to be. It's got interesting ideas about cooperation with the NPC, and the AI is actually VERY complex and good. It's a 2001 Dreamcast game, and I was actually surprised by what I was seeing the bigger Floigan brother do. :D It is alsoplayable, sometimes annoying, and not just due to me having a skill issue. :D Very interesting game, and a fascinating Dreamcast exclusive, that came out AFTER Dreamcast's production ceased, basically post mortem. Overall, I think it's still worth checking it out, to just chill with a platformer with very beautiful graphics! I'd rate it something like 7/10?
Game's plot summary:
The Floigan Brothers, Moigle and Hoigle, live by themselves in their very own junkyard. Moigle is the larger of the two brothers, and is not controlled by the player. Hoigle, on the other hand, is directly controlled by the player. The two act as opposites; Moigle is larger and dimwitted, while Hoigle is smaller and far more intelligent than his brother. Moigle decides to surprise his brother with a machine, the only catch is that the parts he needs are scattered around their junkyard. Thus, Hoigle and Moigle begin to look for parts to the machine by solving various puzzles. However, hovering above the junkyard in a blimp, is Baron Malodorous. He wants the junkyard for his own uses, and sends out his cat mercenaries to weed out the Floigan Brothers. By defeating the Baron's cats, the brothers can find the parts to Moigle's machine.
