Floor Coverage Lab Test | Roomba® | iRobot®
One of the many test areas at iRobot, the coverage lab lets engineers test the latest behaviors of the iAdapt™ Responsive Cleaning Technology system by measuring coverage in a simulated home environment. The overhead camera system tracks Roomba's movements as it navigates chair and table legs (room center), power cords (lower left), floor transitions (upper right), bed and couch skirts (middle left) and other home obstacles. The color of the tracking transitions from blue to pink to red to indicate the number of times Roomba cleans a given area. Blue indicates one pass, pink indicates two passes and red indicates more than two passes up to sixteen.
