We check out a new colony/city builder that plays like Raft meets RimWorld. In this let's play Flotsam gameplay video we see how the game gives you a handful of colonists who live in a tiny floating village in the heart of an endless ocean, and they must slowly build up the town using the salvage they claim.

Flotsam gameplay is like a traditional colony builder such as RimWorld where you don't control directly, you set and priorite tasks. And like Raft, you need to salvage plastic, wood and scrap from the water to be able to craft new things, including ways to make food and water as well as more crafting stations.

We see how to get started in Flotsam as we playthrough the first map location, learning how to distill drinkable water, how to dry fish to eat and how to salvage using buoys, both through swimming and by building and using boats.

We also see how to sail the island across the map to a new location, using the mast we salvage from one of the nearby quest islands that every map location has in Flotsam gameplay.
