89Here we have a Brand New series! We will be taking the famous Moneyball system and applying it to Barnsley FC.
For those not familiar with Moneyball, it was originally a system developed in Baseball where player recruitment and team selection was based almost purely on statistical analysis. It enabled smaller teams that couldn't financially compete with the bigger teams, to be able to compete on the field if not off it.
Player attributes will be turned off. When we sign a new players we have to rely completely on the stats they are providing with their team making recruitment extremely risky.
We will turn the attributes back on once a season at the end of season review so everyone can see what level of players we have been using for that season and to see if there are any surprises with certain players not looking good in attributes, but being one of our higher performers statistically.
