Hey guys, bit of a different upload here!
I have been releasing original music every now and then under my given name since 2015 - two albums, one EP, and now this single (which is longer than aforementioned EP lmaoo). Last time I released an original piece was in 2019, after which I couldn't really justify the time it'd take out of doing covers etc. About a month ago however I got the HUGE urge to write and ended up creating this chunker of a piece, inspired by the Smalls Lighthouse Tragedy of 1801 (the same incident that inspired "The Lighthouse" - awesome movie).
I fully understand that original music isn't what most of my viewers are here for, and that's totally ok - I've got a VGM video coming up tomorrow so you won't have to wait for long :)
hope some of yall dig this song until then!

LYRICS:
For 30 days and 30 nights
Amongst wicked, salty seas
We man the light
We both guided many ships
Tens come and gone
Until the morn, that fateful day
When one fell ill
Estranged at heavy sea, many long weeks
He suffered day and night, we could but pray
Never any aid in sight, our hopes grew slim
And as if free at last, he drew his final breath
Are you still here?
Why must you haunt me? I never wanted this
Your pleas from somewhere far away, the other side
Why must you torment me? It wasn't me
You're not my friend, but it's cold outside
Why don't you come in?
You weren't my friend, but the wind is hard
Why won't you come in?
For 120 days, and many endless nights
Amongst wicked, salty seas
I manned the light
I no longer know who I am
Or where you went
I dream of land once more
And mayhap I'll leave one day this rock
