Hi guys, this is my new rebuild attempt.
I decided to rebuild Vicenza, an Italian small club with a great past, that now is playing in Italian 3rd division since a too long time. Since 2001 Vicenza was relegated to Serie B (Italian 2nd division) and hadn't been promoted to Serie A anymore, besides in the recent years the club went bankrupt. On June 18th, 2018, Renzo Rosso, president of the famous fashion brand DIESEL and former owner of Bassano Virtus (the football club of a smaller city, Bassano del Grappa which is located near Vicenza and which mostly played in 3rd division) decided to buy Vicenza and merge it with Bassano to give the club the right to play in Italian 3rd division (if he did not do so, the club would have started from Italian Serie D, non professional league) even if that meant Bassano disappeared and the major of Bassano del Grappa started a new club from the lowest league: Despite Rosso's efforts, Vicenza only managed to get promoted once to Serie B and remained there only for 1 season, then got relegated again to Italian 3rd division where the club is now.
In this video you will see how I created my tactic, there is no tactic download link yet because this is a test, I want to test if this tactic works before saving it and sharing it. This means that during my career I will make some adjustments to my tactic and if it does not work maybe create another one (with a striker maybe) but always trying to keep the same possession focused playing stile, so you will not see me switching to a gegenpress for example. Other principles that I will not change are the back 4 defense, I am not a fan of a defense with 3 defenders only (despite the two full-backs can be considered as two defenders who change it into a back 5). So, for now let's start with this 4-3-3 strikerless and then you will see how it works when I will publish the episode with the first season games. I will not play the friendly matches by myself so you will only see the results there
In the next episodes you can see how I try to rebuild the club, which players I want to buy (or better, to loan from other clubs) to play the way I want.
