Forces TV Meets Sergeant Elizabeth Marks
US Army Sergeant Elizabeth Marks has spoken exclusively to Forces TV after giving her Invictus Games gold medal to Prince Harry to return to the British hospital that saved her life.
On the eve of the first games in 2014, held in London, Sgt Marks, 25, became gravely ill when she collapsed with a serious lung condition and was put into an induced coma.
Thankfully, she made a full recovery, winning all four swimming events she entered at this year's event.
But she decided to give her 100 metre freestyle gold to Papworth Hospital in Cambridge as it had been touched by the Prince, she said.
And Sgt Marks has now told Forces TV about how she made the decision, as well as her admiration for Prince Harry.
