I made my previous forest environment a lot bigger with help of fully dynamic lighting using distance fields and light propagations instead of baking it. Unfortunately because there are so many trees they needed an aggressive lod distance scale to maintain workable performance, so that's why almost all trees are so low poly.
Some assets like the stones are photoscande with my phone and Metashape. The rest is modeled in Blender 2.8 and textured using Substance Painter, Mixer, Substance Alchemist with base materials and my own textures that where photograph with my phone that later was delighted in Photoshop, Substance Alchemist or B2M depend what worked best for the situation.
The rock material is from Substance Share.
HDRI from HDRI Heaven.
The heightmap for the landscape is from https://opentopography.org/
