42I wrote this song when I was sixteen. It was the first song that I felt encapsulated my personal feelings about the woods. It was spring when I composed it. There were cherry trees blooming on my street, and I remember walking home from school in the rain with water and dewy, sweet scented petals falling onto my head. There were forests on three sides from that house and I could hear just one kind of bird calling from the distance. Perhaps with this song, I can communicate my love of the forests and the flowers of spring to others, and they will remember a time of spring.
