In the PS One video game Digimon World 3 published by Bandai, there is a group of items categorized into epic items. These items come in the form of weapons which can only be equipped by the corresponding playable partner Digimon in your party. As functional weapons in battle, these weapons are weaker than most store-bought weapons found throughout the game. However, in the Japanese and European release of the game, contrary to the North American release, there is post-game content with a new objective which requires players to own these items firsthand before they can attempt to do so. Generally speaking, these items can be obtained even during the post-game. However, the process is much more tedious compared to accomplishing it before beating the game. This video shows you how to achieve it through the latter method.
There are 5 epic items available for a total of 8 playable partner Digimon so some of them do share the same item belonging to them. The epic items have to be created in the correct order so you can't skip any of them should you want to have them separately. The requirement for the playable partner Digimon is that their level needs to be at least level 45 so it may take a while to get there and they also have to be in the party for undertaking the task. The process consists of refining the item from the basic version which requires another store-bought items for 3 times done by NPCs spread throughout certain locations in the game. This video in particular covers the course of event for obtaining the epic item exclusive to Koｔemon which is in the fifth order and the last one.
Items needed are:
1. Rusty Katana (obtained after defeating Zanbamon who is in an optional boss fight at Catacombs in Asuka server)
2. Onimaru (sold by Gargomon at Mirage Tower in Amaterasu server for 15,000 bits)
3. Tenjinmaru (sold by Gargomon at Bai Hu City armory and Xuan Wu City armory in Amaterasu server for 22,000 bits)
4. Fuujin Blade (sold by Gargomon at Amaterasu City armory in Amaterasu server for 30,000 bits)
NPCs involved are:
1. Kabukimon at a particular portion of Ether Jungle which requires utilizing the Seabed in Amaterasu server
2. Yaksamon at Secret Room of Dum Dum Factory in Amaterasu server
3. MetalEtemon at Kulon Weapons in either Asuka server or Amaterasu server
