Red Bull driver Sergio Perez won the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. The Mexican driver had his second grand prix win this season, after Monaco. Formula 1 announced that an investigation has been launched against Perez, who was found to have overtaken the safety car in the second stop of the race.

In the Formula 1 World Championship, the 17th leg of the season, the Singapore Grand Prix, was won by the Mexican driver of the Red Bull team, Sergio Perez.

The race, held on the 5.06 kilometer Marina Bay Circuit in Singapore, started with a delay of more than an hour due to bad weather conditions.

In the race, which started from the second row, Perez outstripped the winner of the qualifying laps, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc of Monaco, in the first lap, managed to maintain his advantage throughout the race and with a time of 2:02:15.238, he had his second grand prix victory after Monaco this season.

Leclerc finished second, 7.595 seconds behind Perez, and Leclerc's teammate, Spaniard Carlos Sainz, finished third, 15.305 seconds behind the leader. Dutch driver Max Verstappen of Red Bull, the leader of the drivers' classification, finished 7th in the race, where he fell back to 12th place.

INVESTIGATION STARTED

During the race, which was held over 61 laps, some of the pilots' cars crashed on the wet ground and were out of the race, and the safety car, which entered the track many times, prevented the distance between the pilots from opening.
