After a general introduction I go into the details how you get the Base Value of the production of your choice.
The video it longer than anticipated.
The general idea is this:

1.) Take the "Base Value" of the farm.
2.) Figure out the "Base harvest production". You can use the amout of the tool to figure out the Base harvest. If you have a plow with 50%, you will get base harvest production by doubling the number that plow gives you. Or if you have one expert, divide the number by 3 and multiply by to to get it. Or if you have 2 experts divide it by two. Any of these work. Note that the Base harvest is close to the city production, but it's often a bit off. What is important to get the number in tooltips, is to work with the hidden Base harvest production - the one you calculated here.
3.) Multiply Base harvest production you got in point number 2 and multiply it by number of food resource for that region (Usually 1-4 in my games). You will get what I think they refer to as the "Region food yield"
4.) Now apply the farm bonus to that number. You start with 0 of course - same as with crafting. Base farm gives you +100% so Your final yield should be Region food yield. For T2 farm it lists +200% so you would apply "Region food yield" twice.
5.) Lastly + 5 for the BONUS to harvest production. It's applied after all the multiplications
Example:
I have a farm that says 653 Base value
2.) Plow is 40.5 * 2 = 81 Base harvest production
3.) 81 * 4 food = 324 "Region food yield"
4.) It's T2 farm with +200% of "Region food yield" = 648
5.) 653
