where to begin with this one

i played this on a VCR model xbox one with a Rock Band 4 strat, this video is pretty much entirely unedited, just to share the full experience and pain that is fortnite on the worst xbox model. i suffered, so you suffer with me. there are chapters if you wanna skip the boring bits lawl. *instrument support, or lack thereof:*
i'm incredibly disappointed, we got instrument support but not support for instruments. my main hope for this was that i'd be more accessible than rb4 but it's BARELY more accessible. if you have a pc and a ps5 you're pretty much SOL and have to buy two of an already expensive controller. sanjay's the goat btw, they're cooking some stuff up rn

*menu and ui complaints:*
navigating the menus with a guitar controller sucks, and at 6:05 i found out the hard way that you have to open the game and navigate the menus using a standard controller then SWITCH to a guitar controller. what part of that makes sense? i'm already using a guitar controller. additionally, the riffmaster doesn't have palm activation, so of course that means when you hit select on an rb4 guitar it brings up the "exit to backstage" menu and breaks your combo! fun! i'm sure you can remap but i cant be bothered

*engine stuff:*
apparently if you fret and strum at the same time it causes a miss? idk i read that somewhere and at 22:10 that seems to be the case. other than that this engine feels fine

*conclusion:*
overall, i'd say this isn't really worth your time. fortnite festival is cool and all, it got my friends in to Rock Band, but maan it's just not my thing. and i didn't even talk about how this game suffers from "modern-game-itis" and how it opens a whole ass online room and requires you to wait in a multiplayer queue for a singleplayer rhythm game
