If you're using Google Apps and Google Sites, you can use the Google Apps control panel and your domain host provider's DNS settings to forward a custom URL to your Google Site. So, instead of "www.google.com/a/yourdomain.com/yoursite" you can have "yoursite.yourdomain.com".
