Forza Motorsport 2 - Maple Valley Raceway | Xenia Canary | Ryzen 7 5800H | RTX 3070 140W
Forza Motorsport 2 managed a striking balance of realism with a splash of fun factor, but visually speaking, it was a bit of a mixed bag.
For one, it's got a nearly unmatched damage model in the genre, its crisp textures and splendid high polygon tracks and cars stood out beautifully as well, but the over exaggerated bloom, although charming in this particular game, can take away from the illusion of reality.
The scenery's shadow maps are bizarre too, they've got no perspective to them when casting on vehicles (same thing with 3 and 4). The atmosphere is also unique, as it transpires a sense of loneliness that no other in the franchise ever did.
