Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Wheel Support (PC) - Max Settings, G27 on Brands Hatch (No Assists, 60 FPS)
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex on the PC finally has wheel support, including the common Logitech steering wheels, but the list is unfortunately still far shorter than "Any wheel with Windows drivers." Max Settings with GTX 1060 and i7 4790k, no assists, unbeatable difficulty, rain and a G27 racing wheel. First thoughts: I might like it IF I COULD HEAR MY CAR AT ALL. What happened to the audio sliders and basic customization? You could adjust everything to be right in Forza 4, pretty sure you could do it all the way back in Forza 1/2, why the sudden regression? If you're going to do that, you better get it right on the default settings and they very noticeably did not if you're within 200 feet of any traffic. Also no lap time (meaningful) leaderboards to be found anywhere, which is pretty atrocious when even Forza Motorsport 1 supported that with Xbox Live. Pair that with no multiplayer and there's very little making me want to keep playing this even when I have to give up the use of my Logitech wheel to keep playing Forza 4 on the 360. So many grating hand holding menus and unskippable cinematics too.
For my controls, I used a Logitech G27 racing wheel with the H-pattern shifter and 900 degrees of rotation. PC specs are a GTX 1060 and i7 4790K with 16 gigs of RAM. Edited and produced using Avidemux.
