The career mode of Forza Motorsport 6 consists of 15 different series, with each series having 4-6 races. Here you can see me completing the final series called "Ultimate Racing Championship" with the iconic Toyota GT-One race car from the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998 and 1999. To make the races a bit more interesting I also used a mod that made me start in 20th instead of 14th position every race.

Timeline:
0:30 Buying the Toyota GT-One race car
2:53 Race on Yas Marina
14:56 Race on Catalunya
26:43 Rain Race on Silverstone
40:45 Race on Hockenheim
53:41 Race on Indianapolis
1:05:46 Race on Circuit of The Americas

Each of the 15 career mode series can be done with 6 different vehicle categories but for a simple playthrough you only need to do each series once. For the final series I picked the Endurance Prototype category, so that I could pick the awesome Toyota GT-One race car. Forza 6 has the 1999 version of the car but I prefer the 1998 livery and thankfully it was available for download.

As usual remember that in my playthrough videos the only goal is to beat the game and show off its content, so don't expect very smooth driving here like you know it from my Time Attack videos. The GT-One is not the easiest car to drive in FM6 and this was my first time driving it.

One thing that is nice in FM6 compared to FM7 is that you only need to finish top 3 in the career mode races, while in FM7 you need to win every single race to get all of the completion points. This made me set the difficulty to very low in FM7, while here in FM6 I could set it to very high, knowing that a top 3 finish would be enough, which resulted in more interesting races.

Unfortunately the balance of the AI in FM6 is rather poor though, both between different cars in the same race and also between different races. I used the same difficulty in every race here and as you can see for example in Spain I only finished 2nd, while in other races I finished way ahead. Even though there are many different difficulty levels it's hard to find one that is really fitting. This is something that I already noticed in Forza Apex and unfortunately it isn't any different in the Xbox One version of the game.

For some reason the AI is also driving pretty wild and making a lot of big errors, as you can probably see in this video. In the rain race on Silverstone a lot of cars even got stuck completely. I don't know what's up with that. Maybe it's because I have "limit aggression" turned off but this was the default setting. Or maybe these "drivatars" are really learning their driving from the players that they represent. :P

My first impression of FM6 had been quite positive. Now I definitely saw a few flaws as well, mostly regarding the AI. I still think that I like it better than FM7 though. I am curious where it will rank once I have also played the other 5 Forza Motorsport games. For now though my Forza collection consists of FM 6-7 and all the FH games, so feel free to let me know if there is anything from those 6 games that you would like to see a video about.
