In this video I'll show you how Esmeralda's passive, Starmoon Casket, works.
Starmoon Casket skill can do four things.

1. Deals both magic and physical attack.
Esmeralda deals two types of damage regardless if it's basic attack or skill.

2. Gives shield to enemies based on magic damage dealt
Esmeralda converts this damage and gives it as a shield to the enemy.
150% of the magic damage dealt is converted into shield.

3. Ignores shield effect
All her damage can ignore an enemy's shield.
It's as if the shield does not exist with Esmeralda.
Even the extra damage from items like Lightning Truncheon and Glowing Wand can ignore shields.

4. Transforms Esmeralda's shield into HP
Any kind of shield Esmeralda has will be transformed slowly to HP to heal her.
Shields from Athena's Shield and Aegis when used by Esmeralda will disappear and be converted into HP.
The shield she absorbs by using her 1st skill will also be converted to HP.

Now that we know how it works, let's do some tests.
Demon Hunter Sword's extra damage can be triggered by her magic and physical basic attacks.
Feather of Heaven has the same effect like Demon Hunter Sword.
Adding Golden Staff to DHS and FoH gives her this effect.
Her basic attack is considered melee which means she can hit multiple targets when near each other.
Using Concentrated Energy allows her to recover HP from her magic damage.
Using Bloodlust Axe allows her to recover HP from both magic and physical damage skills.
