The Fractal Define S2 is an odd case: It uses the same tooling as the Fractal R6, costs the same (or more), and has fewer parts that ship with it.

Fractal's Define S2 enclosure really doesn't need to exist as a standalone case. It could be yet another SKU of the R6 -- an upgrade kit, basically -- as it's a stripping-down of the existing R6. The S2 carries an equivalent MSRP (but higher street price) at time of publication, hosts fewer drive mounts, and adds a reservoir mount for liquid cooling. Front ventilation has been modified to be wider, but filtration has also been changed, and the front panel no longer hinges open.
