A moment from another classic literature book, and a classic gothic horror that I am a rather large fan of!
I don't much like the more mainstream green, brutish zombie that we have come to know, I prefer a more nuanced, off putting sort of creature, something almost attractive and certainly intelligent yet *wrong* on some level and this scene captures why perfectly.
The anguish of the Monster, pained and dangerous but understandably so.
