I recently discovered the new version of FRAPS allows me to record Windows desktop aplications other than games. Here's a quick overview of how to record both game and non-game content using FRAPS.

Sorry for the blurry image quality on the upload. The video appeared fine locally, but YouTube must have compressed it even more. Maybe I'll have to try Full Size instead of Half Size recording for recording Windows 7 apps.
