The new freemium game by Backflip Studios called DragonVale is all about raising magical dragons. While the game is free to play, the game plays faster through in app purchases of coins, gems, and dragon treats. However, the game can be played for free, with a little patience. The game begins with users starting out on their own floating magical island where they raise dragons and develop the island to attract more visitors. The more advanced your dragons and island the more gold coins you earn and the more visitors you have come to your island. Players can also give gold coins to friends each day in a limited amount. DragonVale is a departure for Backflip Studios casual gaming reputation, while not my cup of tea is well made and fun for the target age group this app appeals to.
