To capture your shot in a gameplay broadcast camera view, hit L1+ right analog stick in any direction after making your shot selections. It WON'T work with knuckleballs, unfortunately... BUT YOU CAN DO THAT INSTEAD:

Thanks to a youtube comment by Maarten Vaan Thomm, I can now have the camera switch to gameplay right after the free kick is taken by simply double tapping R1 (finesse button) while standing before making any shot adjustments!
