Freedom Planet: Lilac's Adventure Mode Part 10 - Final Dreadnought 1 & 2
Subject: Finally managed to buy a game by the name of Freedom Planet made by GalaxyTrail which was introduced to me a couple months ago. (Also available on steam.) It is a action platformer influenced by the Sonic The Hedgehog games on the Sega Genesis but definitely manages to be it's own game. There are three playable characters in which only two of them have a story mode but I plan on running through the game with all characters. This is supposed to be a no death run and it technically is still..During one of the later levels I clicked restart due to starting off the level so bad and didn't realize that it counted as a death...(Kind of strange.) So yeah it's a no death run still just won't be getting the achievement with Lilac.
Info: So we have now reached the final stage of the game which is Final Dreadnought. This stage has four parts to it with each part being shorter then the average level length. In this video we take on Round 1 and 2.
Final Dreadnought 1: I honestly think this stage is the hardest of the Final Dreadnought stages. There are enemies at every point and it is also quite eventful with a large amount of enemies spawning at one point of the stage and the airlocks being opened for you to fall straight into a pit. (Yeah Brevon really has it out for us here.) It's best to just keep moving forward as fast as you can which fortunately Lilac is a speedster.
Final Dreadnought 2: This stage isn't as chaotic nor difficult as the first stage but it requires you to be a bit careful. (It's also the longest out of the Final Dreadnought stages) This stage pretty much works like Thermal Base with finding the keys to open the doors. About halfway through Lord Di- I mean Brevon decides to cut off the oxygen. From here on out you'll need the Aqua Barrier as well as be careful not to lose them by getting hit. There aren't too many enemies from this point fortunately.
Note: Down below is the boss review. If you don't want the boss spoiled before hand then don't read any further. Also usually I don't review mid bosses but the mid boss to this stage is pretty insane...
Syntax: Unlike the first fight with him he is actually tricky this time around. Basically he'll change through forms and the form he takes indicates what attack he'll do. Each time you damage him enough he'll add in an extra form and sometimes the usual direction he starts from we'll be changed so be aware of that. This boss fight is one of those that is difficult the first time around but after you get the hang of how he works it's not that difficult. (Just requires a lot of dodging.)
Zombie Serpentine: Serpentine is back one last time and is transformed. This boss......is probably the most difficult boss fight in the game aside from the last boss. Zombie Serpentine is really fast and his attacks are kind of difficult to avoid. Basically you're going to need to stay on your toes at all times otherwise you're getting hit no doubt about it. He actually does have a pattern though which knowing it makes the fight more tolerable. After three dash punches he'll use a special attack which he has two of them which aren't hard to avoid and easy to see coming. (Though the flame thrower comes out kind of fast.) Also he'll usually dash punch to you're position so if he's off screen just be prepared for that. (You can also hear him do the attack.) At his last bit of health he'll start doing everything twice as fast which if you've gotten use to your usually pace it might cause problems....(It did for me.) This boss may take a few tries when first playing this game....
