Freedom Planet: Lilac's Adventure Mode Part 6 - Jade Creek
Subject: Finally managed to buy a game by the name of Freedom Planet made by GalaxyTrail which was introduced to me a couple months ago. (Also available on steam.) It is a action platformer influenced by the Sonic The Hedgehog games on the Sega Genesis but definitely manages to be it's own game. There are three playable characters in which only two of them have a story mode but I plan on running through the game with all characters. This is supposed to be a no death run and it technically is still..During one of the later levels I clicked restart due to starting off the level so bad and didn't realize that it counted as a death...(Kind of strange.) So yeah it's a no death run still just won't be getting the achievement with Lilac.
Info: It is time to take on Stage 5 of the game which is Jade Creek. Now this stage is sort of the water level of this game but that's definitely not all there is to it and the characters can actually swim in this game so it's not too bad to deal with. The first part of this stage in my opinion isn't that difficult though the enemies and the police constantly shooting out those machines can cause some annoyance. (Neera can also be kind of difficult sometimes.) Now the second part of the stage is where things start to get a little crazy. You're now on a submarine with torpedoes constantly shooting up from every point of it along with mines placed around. Dealing with these obstacles along with the already annoying enemies can become a real hassle. Thankfully this section of the level isn't too long.
Note: Down below is the boss review. If you don't want the boss spoiled before hand then don't read any further.
General Serpentine makes his return and this time he's the stage boss. He has two phases which the first one works exactly the same as the Fortune Night fight except for he'll now shoot missiles. After you've got his first phase down he will bring out his chopper and Immediately send out two troops which not only make their debut in this fight but they are the most annoying enemies in the game by far. Dealing with them in Chopper can be kind of difficult. You can take them down but not only do they have more life then most of the enemies on this game, the chopper doesn't have that much life so it isn't worth it. Plus after a little while Milla will come out to help you and reflect their shots. The Chopper itself is pretty simple as all you need to do is be prepared to run once it brings out the missiles. Despite all this in my opinion this is actually one of the easier bosses in the game.
