Playing No Man's Sky (and experiencing that games horrible space combat) got me jonesing for Chris Roberts' space trader/shooter/pre-Star Citizen classic.

I blew the dust off my old CD-ROM copy and installed it on my Windows 10 laptop. Nope, it doesn't work out of the box! After tracking down a couple critical patches I got it working, played a few hours over the weekend then sought out a widescreen mod because the 4:3 resolution was starting to get to me.

Captured footage is from an escort mission that's part of the main storyline. The game's been an absolute cakewalk up until now. I definitely had to restart more than the one time you see in this video!
