This is the seventeenth mission of the Derelict campaign for Freespace 2. We have received a distress call from another pirate group, reporting that they are under attack by Morgan Technologies forces, including the MTD Auriga itself. The fleeing pirate group consists of a trio of Aeolus class cruisers and the medical ship Vigilant, which was present at the ammunition depot we raided not long ago. The cruisers can take care of themselves, but the Vigilant overloaded its drive system and has fallen behind; we must provide immediate fighter cover while it makes its run to subspace. Shivan patrols are also expected, and if we encounter Shivans we must engage them long enough for Command to trace their transmissions back to the source, hopefully located the SD Nyarlathotep.
