Freespace 2 - Into the Maelstrom
0This is the ninth mission of the main campaign of Freespace 2. Our mission this morning is to escort a supply convoy consisting of a freighter and two gas miners to rendezvous with the GTVA Colossus near the Capella jump node in Epsilon Pegasi. These supplies are vital to taking the Colossus on the offensive, and Command believes that the NTF may try to interdict the convoys rather than challenge the massive warship directly. If they make such an attempt, the 242nd is on hand to ensure they do not succeed.
The cutscene at the beginning of the video is redone by Mjn.Mixael of Hard Light Productions, and in addition to the shinier graphics over the 1999 original it has a large number of Easter eggs. See if you can spot them all!
